Veteran actor Jeetendra and Anil Kapoor were on Sunday announced as recipients of awards by the Maharashtra government in memory of the late actor Raj Kapoor.
Jeetendra, 74, will be given the Raj Kapoor Lifetime Contribution Award and the 59-year-old Virasat star will receive the Raj Kapoor Special Contribution Award, Cultural Affairs Minister of Maharashtra Vinod Tawde, said in a statement.
The lifetime award carries a citation, a trophy and a cash prize of Rs500,000 lakh (Dh27,526) while the special contribution award carries a citation, a trophy and a cash prize of Rs300,000 (Dh16,515).
The award ceremony will be held in Mumbai on April 30.
